Teacher Appreciation

I recently had an order on my Etsy shop that requested a frame for her Mom that taught 3rd grade. I've always wanted to do one of these but never had the right person to do it for. It turned out so cute! Who knew that simple school supplies could be put together to create something so adorable!

I used black paper and wrote the alphabet (with my left hand!) to make it look like a child wrote on a blackboard. I combined that with a piece of notebook paper, with the fringe still attached of course, and some elementary school supplies and ta-da! This was so much fun to create and is the PERFECT gift for a child's teacher. I'm working on a couple 4X6 teacher appreciation frames for my sons' teachers at school. What a great Christmas gift and with the personalization any teacher is bound to love this frame!

This set was inspired by the first baby of a friend. This frame shouts boy as different blue and green papers are ripped and placed on an 8X10 inch frame. Rustic plaid, bright letters, and bright blue paper are used to frame this photo. Light green rick rack span the top as a very thin green ribbon runs down the side. 6 green buttons threaded in off-white are placed on the ribbons. Clusters of green staples are added throughout to add a little texture. The word 'baby' is distressed in green and blue but can easily be replaced by a specific name. In the bottom right corner a sleeping baby cuddles a small dinosaur while wrapped in a denim blanket sewn shut with another green button. This frame holds a 5X7 photo but photo corners have been added to hold a 4X6 as well. These fun frames are different from any other! This is a set of 3- 2 measuring 8X8 inches and one measuring 14X14 inches. The small ones are covered with a girly polka-dot paper and trimmed with a bright green. Each of the small ones have pink pearl shell beads threaded with a bright pink embroidery floss randomly placed on the dots of the paper. A watercolor completes the animal theme with an elephant and a giraffe. The same water color idea continues to the large frame where a picture of various animals is placed. The large frame is painted the same bright green on the face but pink is painted in the shadow of the frame to add dimension.
